INHALANTS are the breathable chemical vapors of proprietary household products.  These volatile chemicals are around us in every normal day, at work or at home.  We just don't know how hazardous  these vapors can be until we are informed

Inhalants are categorised in three groups as indicated below

SOLVENTS

Household solvent agents, like paint thinners, benzine
Industrial agents, like petrol, glues, acetone, dry-cleaning fluids, turpentine etc.
Office supplies, like correction pens fluid, marker pens fluid etc.
Pharmaceutical chemicals like chloroform, ether

GASSES

butane lighters, whipping cream cans, refrigerator gas, spray paint, hair spray, deodorant sprays, non-stick sprays and spray-oils etc.

NITRITES

Aliphatic nitrites, including cyclohexyl nitrite, which is available to the general public; amyl nitrite, "Poppers" is freely available and butyl nitrite, which is now an illegal substance

EFFECT

Most inhalants produce a rapid high that resembles alcohol intoxication. If sufficient amounts are inhaled, nearly all solvents and gases produce anesthesia, a loss of sensation, and even unconsciousness
